The Healthy Hand makes an impact with project "One Desi Hand to Another"
Last year, The Healthy Hand embarked on a heartfelt mission to the Cheers Foundation Orphanage in Hyderabad, India. Our goal was to educate 60 young children on the importance of proper hygiene practices, aiming to instill lifelong habits that will contribute to their overall wellbeing.
During our visit, we engaged in both insightful conversations and playful interactions with the children. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were truly inspiring. We discussed various aspects of hygiene, from handwashing techniques to dental care, ensuring they understood the significance of maintaining cleanliness in their daily lives.
The highlight of our visit was distributing hygiene kits to each child. The joy on their faces and their heartfelt “thank you sister” expressed with bright smiles were moments that will forever be cherished. This experience was more than just an educational session; it was about building connections and creating a sense of family within the community.
We left the Cheers Foundation with a deep sense of fulfillment, knowing that we made a meaningful impact. These children have touched our hearts, and we hope the knowledge we shared will continue to benefit them for years to come.
